"I’ve been to Laconia quite a bit and until this trip had never been to the Union Diner. Well I’ve been here 2 days so far and have eaten there both days. I will be here for 3 more days and I will be eating breakfast there 3 more times. It’s not a big place, but it is very clean, staff is very friendly and the breakfast is simply the best."

"Classic diner food with some sophisticated upgrades to the food. Excellent service and excellent food. What more could you want?"

"I've been a frequent visitor of Laconia for the past 59 years. This diner has had its ups and downs but is now our favorite spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The current owner, Rose, has made it better than it has ever been... the food is always fresh and prepared perfectly. The staff is friendly and service is generally very quick. They are very accommodating as to dietary restrictions and can modify most of their dishes to meet individual requirements.
The history behind the diner itself adds to the experience - it is true Americana! Don't miss this spot whether you're a visitor or a local... You will not be disappointed!"

"Not from New Hampshire, I visit every summer tho. this is my all time new favorite place for breakfast. Now every time I visit NH I will be stopping by. Amazing food and amazing service. The steak tips were cooked to perfection, they give you a big amount of food and they are always friendly there."

"The Union was the first diner I visited in the USA. Being from England, I had built up this image of the perfect American diner and the Union didn't disappoint! Fantastic food, friendly service, and great atmosphere. I visit the Union as often as I can when I'm in NH, nothing better than bringing friends together at the 'U'."

"Exactly what you want out of a classic diner. Decor was classic American diner. Service was fast and friendly. Had breakfast, hash omelette with the homemade red velvet hash, unbelievably good. If you're at Winnipesaukee, definitely make this place for breakfast."

"Our family has come here for 50 years. It’s a diner (“dog cart”, as my Dad affectionately called this place and others like it in Massachusetts). So it’s less than fancy, which is great. Come as you are! [...]Food is as almost surprisingly good as it’s consistently been over the years. Ample portions, too. Always a downright fun and fulfilling experience in an all-too-rare place!"

"Good Diner food. Part of this place is a real 50's diner. The cooolest thing is that it is a real local hang out. Everybody seemed to know each other and everything from gossip to business took place there. Good enough for me."

"Get there early. Very popular because of the great food at reasonable prices. I've been there twice for breakfast and both times were fantastic experiences. Of special note is the service. All personnel seem to care about the customer [...]Very happy and will be back often."

"Usually I stop here every time I come up for bike week for their breakfasts, as it is just hands down the best place for breakfasts in the area. I am up here now for family things and stopped by for lunch this time.Iordered the fried clam plate and it was to die for..Granted, I moved away from the area recently and they don't have whole belly clams where I am now. But these clams were fried to perfection and the fries and slaw were very good too...As one can tell, this is my go to place in Laconia, which sadly isn't often enough..."
